Amazing... how I drug you in with that one....

Now that I know you all can read.... Can you remember that the thread "Nothing But Pics" is for nothing except pictures..... it's not that hard to start a new thread with your question or comment.

Thanks.... I don't wanna flame but I can't stand when people don't follow instructions.

Ah, come on. What a title text between friends?
BTW, I think it'd be pretty hard to get a flame war going here. This is the bench bunch 'o folks north of Mexico.

We had a thread similar to this in the past, where pics where posted and I ended up doing away with it because there was too much discussion and you had to page through it to get to the pics.

I have to agree with Raden on this one

There's plenty of other ways to start discussion besides "hijacking" another thread.

I stayed on topic!

The topic is Pics (ONLY) If you have a request for a pic of a certain blade then start a new thread asking for those pics.

Or if you really feel the need to post in a "Pic" only thread then take a new pic of whatever Busse you have and post it... It's tough to keep a PIC ONLY thread going... conversation as proven in the past will usually mean the thread will get deleted.

Two things: 1) I have a habit of bending rules. Fine. I understand where you're coming from.
2) I thought it would be okay, since it seemed as though the thread was winding down a bit.
Thanks.

You obviously have no idea how many pics of knives I have if you thought it was winding down. It won't ever wind down. In a few months or years someone will post some more pics and it will take off again.

I wasn't around in past. Okay, I get the idea. Just relax a little.

Ok guys, I think we can say WM understands pics only now. WM I agree that a seperate thread could have accomplished the same purpose and would probably have caused someone post post another picture to the "Nothing but pics" thread. So let's get back to business and post some pics. I'll post a bunch of pics when the HI knife, HOGFSH and my Vegas knife show up.

On a side note I think a theme months is not a bad idea at all.

The bottom line is "Nothing but pics" is meant to stay that. It is not to be resurrected by chatter. Ideas for submission for "Nothing but pics" should be started as seperate threads. These are the rules for all, to keep the pic thread pure in its execution, lest it be deleted because there are to many conversational breaks. I too remember the pain in the butt the old pic thread became when there were pages of straight conversation. Believe me, I am fighting not to comment in the thread on some of the great knives people have already posted.

It doesn't matter how many pics you have. I'm sure you and many others have lots of pics, my point was that the rate of posting to that thread slowed down a bit, that's all. I've stated that I'll comply, no worries.

I don't think anyone needs to relax. I don't think anyone is really upset, however, things tend to work better when the rules are followed. (that is why I posted them in the initial post)

And when I first started here, since I really didn't know how things worked I went back and read almost all of the old threads. There's tons of great info in them and you really learn a lot about Busses and this forum. Just a thought from someone that has also been around a while.

I appreciate what you're saying, and since I've been around on the forums awhile, I really didn't see much of need to see how things work around here, so I'm sure there's still a few things I don't know, but I haven't pissed anyone off too badly yet. :D

An easy way to cure the "offending" post is to edit it and add a few pics! Its not that hard to do, I can host them if you need, I know you have a few interesting Busse's to show off. Send me the pics, I host them and send you a link. I have a Gallery section on my website, and been wanting to add a few new pics there. Its open to all who want to add pics of their toys. Now be warned, it will be resized if its too big, if I do it right I can host a few hundred pics with no problem. They wont be super big or really detailed, but its for the good of all eh? Not for those that look at it with an eye loup.

I will be adding a few pics to the gallery this week, whoever wants to add a few to the list, please do! I usually edit the pics to 72ppi in resolution and at the biggest 8X10 if this is cool then were good! :D Lets have fun, bending the rules can be fun, but if it clogs the system then its not so cool, its too easy to start a new thread eh?

There you go Dwayne, good thinking! Edit them with some pics and it will be like there weren't any non picture posts in there.

I REALLY like John's idea of a theme month, or theme week. A lot of guys concentrate on a certain model and that would be cool.

Prize knives would be a good start.

I think Eric has about of all the variants ever made, so he could pop those up.

Badger Attacks through the years, etc, etc, etc.

Good Idea!

Actually it was Walking Man's idea, that is what started the whole thing. :) I agree though Rob, it is a good idea.
