John Young ('top-ten' new collectible maker) is a much-heralded and aspiring new maker to watch. I believe he is a protege of Steve Johnson. Sure looks like his influence.

Joe Mason is an engraver whose work I have seen often on the KN Fine Embellishment forum. He embellished these 'to the nines'!

After commissioning the engraving work, the owner of these two pieces had the desire to showcase them. Fortunately, I got the call... :)

Outstanding work by ALL parties!

I have two that are waiting for a check to be recieved in the mail, and then they are mine.

I will post pix when they arrive. Mine will look like the amateurish scans that they are.

Gorgeous pieces. I think it's more a dirk than a chute - but what do I know...

And you may be more right than me. This was my call on the names. I took a guess. No biggie. They are both stunning.

Thanks, guys!

The stag one is definitely a dirk or fighter, not a chute, but, you know, when a knife looks that good, you could call it a booger, and I'd still love it. :)

Young, Mason & Coop.........quite a trio........beautiful work by all involved!
