Awhile ago I was discussing some durability testing with my brother (Pat). After throwing a few ideas about I offered him my 20" Ang Khola and asked him to see if he could break it (simulated field use).

He asks "How many pieces do you want it back in?"

So I reply "I'll give you $50 for each one."

He is outside for only a short while (15 mins) before he comes back in and lays the Ang Khola down without saying a word.

I wait a couple of minutes and then ask "Don't need the money?"

He replies "Their are easier ways to make $100 than that."

He is probably right.

Its easy to know we are related. We have the same viewpoint with regards to knives. Physically though we look quite different. He is 6'6" so he has a few inches on me, but I am a fair amount hairier so it all balances out.

Cliff, that was absolutelly hilarious. The thing is he is right. We may do it for fun, but he isn't.

If I had to earn a livlihood by breaking 20 inch Ang Kholas I think I'd be going hungry pretty quick.
