Yep, today I think I got my best WW score..A 392-1 Omni Hunter....for....12.00!!!! My son said they had a great big Buck on clearance for 17.00.I stopped in on Friday nite to take a look at it and made a offer of 12.00 but the sporting goods manager would not be in till Monday to ok a reduction to 12.00....It was still there today and the manager gave it to me at 12.00! She said at 17.00 she was losing 23% on it but as there was no paperwork and it had sat around for awhile.....Armand has got a better score [LOL!] for sure I'll bet but what is YOUR best deal at the BBS.

I did get my Buck 110 for $15, with one of Walmart's nylon sheaths. I still use it today in the garden from time to time. Can't really go wrong with the classic design.

A couple of years ago when I picked up the Founders Edition 110 in the tin for $15 after Xmas. That was my first Buck and what got me started collecting them.

The best I heard of was the founders 112 going for 8.00....I gave the 392 to Kj's dad,he skins out a LOT of deer!!! The good'ol boys like that wide blade,Bee said, and he see's Pumas most of the time....Thats why I gave him the Buck.

Several years back, after Christmas, I picked up six 110 collector's tins with moose-head key chains marked down to $11. I had previously bought one at $15. They rang up at $9/each - should have bought all of them - I left ten in the case. They were gone that afternoon. Gave nice after-Christmas gifts that year. I think the next - and last - collector's tin 110, the polished blade with Al Buck's signature, I found on clearance was $18 - and I only found the one. Of course, they stopped that. Even my older son, 39, who loves knives said no more 110s last fall...

I haven't seen a 'deal' there in quite a while. Of course, if I needed a 110 - their $27 variant is still a steal.

Well, there was the 'date' offered by the geriatric ex-biker-babe turned greeter, but that's another matter. My wife was with me!

Still lookin' for a deal there, called up the Dickson City PA store as I am on vacation and in the area but the sales guy, who actually knew what he was talking about (and more importantly, what I was talking about!), said he sold out all of his Buck clearance knives. Got two more Wally Worlds to check on the way back home.

I had a few reservations about buying 'clearance' Bucks because I had heard WM makes there supplyers eat the loss when they put a item on 'clearance'....But my lust for a great deal won out....If I find ANY Buck at a super great price my eyes glaze over,I get short of breath and to save my life I must buy it! I have had a lot of close calls the last 2 years...

bucksway is that how that works. I bought the above BUCK Nighthawk, did not want it, did not need it, do not use it and yet I seen a BUCK with red good deal sticker and POW, money jumps out of my pocket and the knife just about beat me out to the truck.

I feel your pain....When you KNOW a Buck is way underpriced my first thought is GET IT!!! But I really have only a few non-112's....I like giving Bucks to freinds and loved ones for Christmas ect..My son,son-inlaw,paw- inlaw now look for Bucks in December but they dont love them like I* do!

Got me a couple of princes for 15 each, and a couple of nighthawk shorties for under 19 each.

Have never ever seen any of the 110 specials at any Walmart, at any price.

Our deal with Wal-Mart was when they skinnied down their knife selection we would take back all the extra knives in the distribution centers and they would liquidate the remaining inventory in the stores. Some stores sell knives packaged in clams while others use a picture display and sell in boxes. I have been in quite a few stores and the clam stores seem to be sold through but the box stores do not have a good way to market the close-outs so they are usually in a box behind the counter.

You have to ask for them and we are not dinged in anyway, in fact getting the old stuff out of the system helps all.

We have a box store out in Smelterville Idaho, about 30 mins from my house and they still have 7-8 bucks in the low to mid teens but because the new display does not make mention of the old stuff no one knows it is there...

I can already hear the guys who live in Idaho jumping in their cars after that post!
