I did a paracord wrap on my drop forged bowie because I really hated the look and thinness of the stock plastic grips, but I wasn't sure if the new wrap would be comfortable with hard use. A friend had a palm tree he was removing so I tried testing it out and can say it passed with flying colors. The gray knots do leave a bit of an imprint, but they also provide grip kind of like jimping.
