Forgive me if this is a re-post but what is your CRK "Holy Grail"? Whether you have acquired it yet or not. Mine is a Large Sebenza 21 w/mammoth bark inlays and Devon Thomas raindrop Damascus. What's yours?

For me, Lock-45 folder, Helix folder, H Sebenza, PP Sebenza, Regular prototype, handmade fixed knives, earliest one piece knives.

My Grail Story

I wasn't even looking to buy a Sebenza but one night I decided to Google "Sebenza" just to see if I could try to see what CRK lovers seem to see. I was looking at all the images and one picture stunned me. It wasn't the plain gray Sebenza I was used to seeing in my mind when someone mentioned "Sebenza". It was gorgeous!

I had no idea how much a knife like that would cost so I checked out Ebay. I found a Large Sebenza 21 with Raindrop Damascus and Snakewood inlays for over $700.00. I said no way. Pretty knife but not for me, I didn't like the Raindrop Damascus, it looked a little too "Austin Powers" for my taste. Even the Small Damascus + wood Sebenzas were over $600.00. Then before I closed the page one more caught my eye. It was only $615.00 Brand new with free overnight shipping, so I clicked through the pics. When I saw the birthday card, I knew it was made for me on a day that was significant to me.

After I purchased it, I saved a bunch of pictures and began looking through them. HOLEE SH!7! The first picture that stunned me, IS MY KNIFE. I couldn't believe it. So this Sebenza will never leave me. Too much serendipity with this Sebenza for me to ever let it go.

The fact that the same seller was selling its perfectly matched little brother was just icing on the cake, even if they were the same price and the small had a birthday with no significance to me.

Finally, I bought the Mnandi to complete the set. Originally, I had wished the Mnandi had darker scales to truly complete the "matched" set, but it is a different knife with a different character and is beautiful on its own, so it has grown on me.

the ability to move the pocket clip to the opposite side would be nice.

Oh I sure would like that or even just offer a tip down cary.... But I think the idea here is of something that was produced what would be the one you are hunting for.

Ironically, I am currently listing my original grail, a trifecta of Macassar Ebony inlays, in the Exchange (not meant to be a plug; anyone reading this has probably already seen it). My eye then turned to more exotic or rare knives such as annuals or rare inlays. I've since realized that I am a simple person and I want to own CRKs that I will actually use. So to answer your question I currently own my personal grails: a large Reg, small Reg, and an Inyoni - please don't make me choose between them.

I think my grail knife would be a Mnandi with blue/skyblue or blue/maroon zebra damascus. With the right inlays any zebra would be really cool. Like a blackwood Mnandi with B&W Zebra is just so fitting.

Mine suprisingly I beleive is not sought after but I love mine. Its A large Classic with Black palm inlays with gold wires on both sides. I have never seen another.:D
