I was just looking at the thread for finger grooved 112 auto's and got my brain side tracked making a odd 112 automatic..That was a mirror polished drop point super steel blade with serrations bareheaded in MOP with a Black Buffalo horn button on a Nickel silver finger grooved frame..
It then occurred to me I was probably not alone in dreaming about the about the ultimate knife I wish Buck made or I would commission. So what is YOUR dream Buck? Cost is NOT a factor..

I like threads like this...
Okay, my dream Buck would be to have David Yellowhorse build a 124 with a partial chipped blade. Brass guard and pommel. I would leave materials and design in the handle up to him. I would want a portrait, similar to my avatar of Dutch on both sides of the handle.

Some of the old Custom Shop offerings immediately come to mind.
A D-guard bowie maybe.

A custom auto would get my attention.
Tho Buck wouldn't ship it to me.

If cost is no object, I'm headed to the classic car auctions.

I'd LOVE a large, full tang, hard-use "wilderness" knife with a tall blade...something along the lines of a Busse Hell Razor 2/Barky Crusader/Becker BK-9.

....25" (*or better) thick, in 5160. 😍

In my humble opinion, Buck has made HUGE strides in the last 5 or so years, with many of their modern offerings. There is no reason why they couldn't EASILY build the above knife. (*"I'll take four, thank you)

I am not sure... I think I have a few ideas of dream Buck's.

I'd love a damascus bladed NS framed 112 with bareheaded mastodon ivory (bark) scales and a simple classic scroll engraving on front bolster.

I am not sure of others, but that is a good one for me to start with.

Have any of you checked with Leroy Remer? He's with Triple R Knives. Leroy worked for Buck for decades. He can build custom Buck knives. That's where mine sbove is coming from. He built one for me a few years back and like a dummy I eventually sold it. Nickle silver, black paper micarta with a slight palm swell. Oh and a BG 42 blade.
I'm still kicking myself for selling that one.
