... okay - I have been watching too many of my 5 year old daughter's favorite Disney movies....

But here's the premise: you get to have three bowies - made by anyone at any time and owned by anyone. Just click you heels together three times and they're yours.

Which one's would you pick? And no - you don't get to pick THE original knife owned by THE original Bowie - you have to be able to show us pics of your choices. ;)

No limitations as to method of manufacture or design - forged or stock removal, elaborate or simple - the choice is yours alone. No deeply contemplative navel-gazing about the definition of a "bowie" either. If YOU think it's a bowie and it's one you want to the exclusion of all but two others, post it!

I'll start with one of mine - there'd be a gaping hole is Stephen Foster's safe after this one flew across the Atlantic. Dog Bone by Ron Newton:

I'll come up with two more, but let's see some of your bowie dreams.

I don't need 3, 1 is enough as long as she's Bill Moran's ST 24 Fighter. Too bad I don't have the pic. :)

Easy peesey....

1) JP Moss (any bowie..I have 3 bowies, 4 hunters and a folder from him..he's retired and won't make anymore but he was the absolute FINEST knifemaker in the world..imho).

2) Roger Green (another retiree but an awesome maker in his day).

3) Harvey Dean ..D-Guard bowie (I had the chance to buy an ivory handled, damascus bowie from him for $900.00 in the 90'2 at the EKKS show in NY but my now ex wife crabbed about it so I passed).

I have been working my fairy godmother pretty hard.

She just came across with a Fuegen Bowie. A Cashen Bowie is in the mail. And Tim Hancock tells me I can expect a Bowie by June. Ron Newton is in the wings. Should be a very nice year. ;)
