Your fave wallet of all time

This wallet by Rolf's may be larger than the "standard" wallet, but it holds everything, and keeps it organized:

It's large enough to hold a US passport, and will also accomodate the odd size currency that just about every other nation on earth uses, aside from the US and the Philippines.

The only downside is because it holds everything, it's more likely for one to accumulate a mass of receipts and other bits of paper in this design. I'm actually going light right now and use a money clip. If I decide to go back to using a wallet, I'll most likely go back to this design.

The Rolf's isn't my style, but it does look good. And cheap enough, compared to the usual suggestions we get. :)

Probably would be good for travel.

A couple years ago I decided I wanted something with more storage and engineering than an average wallet. I got the T.H.E. Wallet J.R. from Spec Ops Brand and for a while really loved it. I really liked the "Sharkbite" closure method and it had more than enough room to pack everything I wanted. Construction was top notch and it held up great over extended use. The only noticeable wear I was ever able to impart was a copy of the crappy ID I had to carry which bled its ink onto the clear window.

Eventually I just grew tired of having such a large wallet (I know it's "small" for some of you guys here) and went back to carrying a front pocket wallet from Fossil. I think it's this one, but they make so many that it's hard to tell on the site. I find absolutely perfect for my needs: just cash and essential cards.

ive noticed the day they get broken in is the day before they fall apart-lol

i have a leather jc penny thats maybe 8-10 years old now, longest lasting one ive ever had and maybe the cheapest-

I have a Bosca old leather trifold that I've been carrying for almost four years. It looks practically new. The thing I love most is that the card holders are still snug, you can hold the wallet open upside down and shake it without your cards falling all over the floor. It's a really nice wallet.

I have a Bosca old leather bi-fold that I love. It's about a year old and still going strong. I think I'll get many more years of service out of it.

I would love to try one of the Filson ones because I they seem really nice as well, but I just can't see spending the $$$ for one when my Bosca is still so nice.

I'm with Voodoo and Bob W on the Filson wallet. Wife gave me one a few years back and I used it daily for over three years when it developed a loose stitch at the fold. Thread eventually came out and the wallet was beginning to come apart.

Called Filson. They said to send it back for inspection and possible replacement. I told them to just send me a new leather wallet one size larger and we would sort out the replacement deal later.

New wallet arrived promptly and my credit card was billed per our agreement. When the defective wallet got to Filson, they gave me full credit for it and the only charge to me was the slight upcharge for the larger wallet.

Filson is a class act. They make good products and stand behind them.

I have a stingray leather bifold wallet that I'm pretty happy with.
.....I've got the same one....picked it up from Knifeworks several years ago. I'll say this for sting ray skin......it gives Kevlar a run for it's money as far a strength goes . The stuff seems nearly bomb proof. The surface of the skin is a little too shiny for my tastes however; if the light catches it just right it looks like an accessory on a Vegas showgirl's costume ( I'm so ancient that I remember the days when Vegas showgirls actually wore clothing :) ).

Still, it's a tough, well built wallet......and I'm too old to care what anyone thinks about it. As long as I have money to put in it...I'm happy ! :)

Those Filson and Orvis look good.....they both have a reputation for selling well-built, quality goods....and then their customer service is top notch.

- best regards to all

Duluth Trading Post carries a tri-fold that leather with some "fire hose" cotton on the outside for looks. Perfect size, a little bigger than other tri-folds, but still very pocketable. I love this one!
