Post your favorite axe. Here's my Plumb boys axe processing firewood today.

I'm pretty fond of my hard poll True Temper Dayton with 32" octagon haft. It's my go to bucking axe..

My 5 pound Plumb rafting axe is my favorite splitter. My claw hatchet is my favorite camping axe.

My great grandfather's old Collins homestead Michigan still needs a handle, and since I use this all the time my little sub zero hatchet is my favorite.

It's just so handy, and I really love the handle I hung it on ( I definitely love it, but it probably won't be my favorite beer I don't have too much need for a full size 3.5lber )

Just cruising thru here and saw this post!
your going to laugh but my favorite is a Estwing campers axe. I've used that old thing for close to fifty years now and it's never let me down. Gotta get a new cover for it one of these days...........the old one is falling apart.:D

My favorite axe was an OD green axe stamped US Army. I think it was left by the forest service after a fire back in the late 1960s. Several of us kids, all Boy Scouts, helped the Forest Service and Fire Department put out a forest fire close to a large neighborhood. A year or two later I was hiking up in there and found that axe. It went on a lot of adventures with me as I hiked back into the mountains to camp and used it on the farm. I have no idea who made it but it was a good axe.

My favorite is my first (and only) restoration/rehang I did on my father's WWII-era True Temper. I nicknamed it "Patton".
