Your Favorite Becker COMBO?

Hey, fellas. I've really loved reading the Becker forums and seeing all the mods, reviews, pics, and discussions you guys have posted. A few days ago I asked for a recommendation for my first Becker. After a ton of advice, I picked the BK16 and it's sitting in my shopping cart right now waiting for pay day.

And before I've even ordered it, I'm already looking around for my second. And my third.

So my question to all you Becker fans out there is: What's your favorite Becker combo? You've got two Beckers on you. What are they and why? Do they change depending on where you are, or the situation?

I'm not asking for a recommendation of what to buy to go with my BK16. I just want to hear about you guys' faves.

I started with a bk9 and bk16. then a bk9 and bk24 then a bk7 and bk24 then a bk4 and bk13. Now that Ive expanded my becker collection a little bit I trade off between the three sets bk4 bk24 and bk1 bk24 and camillus bk9 bk24. becker are always better in pairs!

I guess if I had to pick a favorite it would be the bk4 bk24 combo. The bk4 is my absolute favorite becker you can do big chopping stuff with it and still feather stick with ease. the recurve is awesome. the balance is awesome. it the best big knife Ive found that can handles little tasks. The 24 is great, D2 steel is the bomb.com. I hate to say it and I can't even believe it happened but I now prefer the 24 over the 16. just as long as the 24 has handles on it. the 24 is also my EDC.

I'd have to say my BK9, and custom BK11. Or perhaps the BK4, and custom BK11.

The BK11 with micarta and a convexed Machax.
The reason's pretty simple for me.
The BK11 was my first Becker and it's always been my favorite to carry.
The BK4, in my opinion, is the most versatile tool in the BK&T lineup. (And it's just fun to use!)
I can accomplish just about anything I want to out in the woods with this pair.

16 and 9!

I don't need a knife small enough to skin small game and I just love the feel and size of the 16 for a lot of things.

The 9 was my first Becker and really my favorite Knife overall. I'll be honest and say that I've never used a 4, but out of the big knivea I've used, the 9 is my favorite.

I can do everything I need with this pair!

That's the combo that makes the most sense to my brain. The two all-around blades in big and small. Whatever one lacks the other has (or so I hear from the guys who know). Except maybe (like you said) for skinning game.

This is my current favorite combo.. My 7 and 14..

I'm going to get another rig made up just like this but this time with a 9 and a 24.

Is this your rig? If so do tell! Who made it, where's it from? - For me it would be the 7 and the 24 combo.

You sound like a smart guy!

Springy, you son of a B, I need to know about your kydex!!!
That looks great. I knew you had good taste, but wow!

This, except for me it's a BK16 rather than a BK11. The handle on the 11 is just too small for my hand.

Mine right now would be the BK9 with the BK17. I have done some customizations to both that I have been meaning to post photographs of.

I'm REALLY itching for the Reinhardt Kukri though...a lot. I would make a combo with that and anything.

Anything.

Thanks fellas. Yeah its a cool rig. Was going to make a thread about it and the other one I got made up but it seemed to fit in this thread quite well actually. Unfortunately, the maker isn't *cough* a paying sponsor *cough* so I've been a bit reluctant to show it off. The construction however is absolutely superb..
