Here's a pair I like. Don't think I've gone retro, I just like lanyard holes. A 334 jumbo Trapper and a early 124. DM

Like David love lanyard holes and I didn't have to go retro I am retro :) My favorite 124 and an awesome 317 (too many 317s to pick from, I know nice problem to have).

gsea, I'm pedaling to catch you. Like you said, these two models are the Only 2 Buck slip locks that have lanyard holes. Haa, DM

Fixed: This 124 from the 70s.

Folding: This 110 from the 70s. I searched hard for one with the three small pins and in mint condition. Harder to find than expected.

Boy that's a hard one. I'm torn on the folders.I have four that are very sentimental. A 301 I inherited when I was 11 or 12. A 703 I received for my birthday in college. A 2 dot 110 one of my teen daughters bought me a few years ago for Christmas. But if I had to choose one it would be my Ag110 my wife bought me for Christmas of 2007.

I'm ashamed to admit it as I just realized it because of this thread. The only Buck fixed blade I currently own is the older 119 I bought off the "bay". The others left a few years ago when I decided to sell some off as I was getting out of collecting. Something I regret.

I still for the life of me cant get a good edge on this knife.

Here is my favorite fixed blade (there would be 10 blades here but I only get to pick 1) The Colt 124

Favorite folder the DY JH Dream Knife! Again there would be 100 other knives here but this is the #1

No question, my favourites are my 119 Brahma, and my 055, the first knife my old lady ever bought for me. If my Brahma isn't on my belt, it's in my pack every time I go for a paddle or go out in the bush, and the 055 is my main EDC on evenings/days off.

Fighter, did you apply some Neats foot oil to the handle of your Brahma? As the leather looks darker. Perhaps just a good photo. DM

My favorite fixed is a 1984 Frontiersman that my wife bought from Bass Pro for me in 1984.
I had Heath take the cherry covers off and put the Sambar stag.
It's my favorite fixed, but is still unused after 31 years of admiring it.

My favorite folder…and the one that gets used most is a 1978-79 two dot that I put Sambar stag covers on.

The leather has seemed to darken up a fair bit since I first got it, but I haven't treated the handle with anything. The only reason I can reckon is a combination of hard use and lots of moisture from all my kayak trips and getting caught in the rain a few times. The handle seems to be a glutton for punishment haha, but I will be surprised if the thin leather holding the plastic sleeve on to the nylon backing of the sheath survives through the winter. Ah well, maybe it's the kick in the behind that I need to go get a proper sheath made (the factory one is garbage IMHO )
