Mine would be a Stanley Fujisaka folder engraved by Bruce Shaw. The titanium frame was andonized in gold and has burnished bone scales that can easily pass for ivory. The fit and finish on the piece is fantastic. It sits in a suede pouch and only comes out when I need to admire it.

My favorite custom is a Wally Hayes damascus folder with filework and nice pearl scales. If you've seen pictures of his work, you've probably seen this knife. It's too much to carry or use much, though. My favorite using custom is also a Hayes: a big old camp knive in 52100. Can't use it in the city, though: scares the neighbours.

My current favorite is a folder by Dellana. Three inch damascus blade of 203-E and W-2 with damascus bolsters n200 and 1018. Some of the nicest black lip I have seen. Fully fileworked with small diamonds, emeralds and her gold dots on the backspring, amethyst thumb-stud and garnet on the lock release.

I have a feeling my new "favorite" will be the one Darrel is working on for me.

My most favorites are in Dave Ellis' collection and in Knives Points of Interest. Dave not only makes some great ones, he has quite a few amazing knives in his collection. Watch out Dave - I'll let you know the next time I am in the area to give you a chance to lock them up

I am on the payment plan, but I will have a gorgeous Rick Genovese sub-hilt fighter with mastodon ivory scales in the next month or so. Serial number in the mid 200 range.

Right now would be a 15-20 year old George Herron boot knife - mirror finish blade and some of the nicest elephant ivory scales I've seen. Very simple & elegant design done beautifully.
