I’m looking for input on some nice non-flippers for around $400. I can go higher if need be but I’d like to see if there’s anything new to me for about 4 bills.

The only “musts” are that it must be a non-flipper and I’d like the closed length to be at least 4.5”. I like bigger knives and weight is a non-issue for me.

Actually , I’m leaning toward a Large Sebenza despite the price being in the mid $500’s. I was just hoping I’d come across some decent in the $400 range.

I could really good for a Ti Military or Nirvana right about now. I’ll have to look into those Hinderer Firetac non-flippers. I also like the SOCOM Elites.

If autos are legal in your area, look into the ProTech Harkins ATAC. It's a D/A knife, so you can open it manually with the thumb disk, and man is it super smooth. It also has a hidden auto opening button under the inlay for an extra cool factor. I'll also throw in my recommendation for the Southern Grind Spider Monkey, it's a really smooth and ergonomic knife, and actually the one that made me love thumb stud knives again. It's cheaper than your price range, but I think there are some special editions and damascus ones that get near your price.

Awesome. I’ll check them out

Another vote for the Umnumzaan. About as good as it gets.

If you have any interest in a slip joint the Lionsteel Gitano is a very nice LARGE slipjoint. I think it’s just under 4.5” closed but definitely different than your common tactical with sexy curves.
Lionsteel is the company that dethroned CRK for Blade’s “manufacturing quality “ award. Less than $150 so you’ll have some extra cash to play with

Cheburkov Strizh, hands down. They have both a titanium handled one for harder use, or a CF handled one (with inlaid liner) for lighter carry. Absolutely great knives.

I'd recommend the ones with the bronze anodized hardware, as the bead blasted version's thumbstud is a bit rough.
