Your Favorite Unpopular Knife?

There are all kinds of excellent production knives in the industry whose brands don't say Benchmade or Strider or any of the other commonly discussed brands of knives on the forum. Here are some of my favorites.

Beretta Trident. Attractive VG-10 bladed pocket folder

Browning Eclipse. A nice linerlock with a 440C blade

Byron Elishewitz Tactical Fixed blade - 154CM blade and designed by Elishewitz - obviously.

Entrek Silhouette - One of the best of the unknown hard use knives - 440C stainless.

Foster 1911 - American made, 154CM. Handle like the grips on a Colt 1911

Russell 1000 - A Big German made stag handled bowie. Wall hanger? Perhaps but an affordable one.

Combat Elite Level 1 Folder - Young Wilson finally goes production. Available with 440C or S30V blade.

Do you have some favorite "unpopular" knives?

Smith & Wesson HRTDR...I have a pair of 'em, and they don't seem to get much "press", eventho' I think they are excellent "combat" knives.

cold steel twistmaster with carbon v. tough, ugly and sharp I bought one like 10 years ago for around 7.00 still have it still think its a great user.

Gerber gets dogged quite a bit now, but I still love my Gator and Silver Knights.

They always play second fiddle to Victorinox but the Highlander suits me better than the Tinker. I use the nail file more than a little pen blade.

Also, I really like the TOPS Prairie Fox even though the Wolf Pup gets more attention.

I guess I'd have to say either one of my Case Canoes. I have one in red sawbone and one with honey appaloosa bone. Nice for dress pants/sheeple and classy knives, although the fit leaves a bit to be desired.

Spyderco Scorpius. i know it's a Spydie, but no one seems to like this knife, and i personally think it's one of the most brilliant designs to leave the factory.

I dont know if it is popular or not, but I am quite fond of my Timberline mini-pitbull. ( I also like my CRKT Carson F-4 neck knife)

$10 knive by Tool Logic, this knife is a good as any knife that is sold by the pound. But the built in light makes it a great knife for the car and if I lose it I can replace it cheap.

Heck yes... I own three Gators (one is not pictured), an LST Magnum, and an AR 3.5 that might not be trendy amongst some of the more sophisticated knife enthusiasts out there, but I keep them sharp as all heck and I'm definitely not afraid to punish them with real work duty (with the exception of the AR 3.5- a gift that features a linerlock that I don't trust)...

Even for brand name knives, there are still lots of hidden gems that IMHO deserve more attention. My two picks are: Benchmade Outbounder and Buck Mini Alpha Hunter.

Up until a few months ago, a Mauser Integral drop point hunter was my favorite knife for field dressing and skinning deer. I think that these have been discontinued some time ago. I loved that thing until I bought a Busse Anorexic Badger Attack. Now the Mauser feels like a brick.
