your favorite Warren Osborne

I met Warren back in the '90s, my brother bought a Policemate from him. This will seem really different if you're used to his new work. He was going to Patent it but never followed through, very few were made. I have a more recent piece from him but I'll need to photograph it.

Warren was a master at the interframe dagger. None better.

His works were the best canvas for top-tier engraving.

He is in my all time top three makers which I have photographed. (Loveless 478, Kious 392, Osborne 355)!

Here's a few bare ones, like yours. Clean and so engaging:

Here is an example of what could be achieved when engraved:

OP: Congrats on that piece. It's a sweetheart!

Most folks know Warren for his folders, however, one of my favorite knives is this fighter which I obtained many years ago from Roger Pinnock.

Warren did not do many fixed blades at all but later in his career, began making knives for the Blade Show cutting competition and generally they were the winning entry.

I do not own any of his knives, but here is a picture of one that I admire. Maybe one of the last knives that he made.

Absolutely stunning work.........I never realised he had this expertise. A great loss in so many ways.

........gentlemen - would you mind if I showed some of these pics over on our wee knife forum (EdgeMatters) in UK please....?

Please do. Never a concern from me.

no concern to me either. All I have ever asked is that folks that use the images to not remove my signature. I post here all the time and there is a link to my Fototime site where all the knives can be viewed.

Here are two of Warren's beauties carved and engraved by
Julie Warenski-Erickson from the book I did on her Knife Art
in 2012.

All the best,
David Darom (ddd)
