Folks,

If you camp and hike, which would you consider as your favourite multifuel stove? I have an Optimus Svea 123 climber which is AWESOME! :D Two MSR stoves : Dragonfly and XGKII which ROCKS! :D These excellent cooking gear had followed to the furthest reaches of the earth in my expeditions.. :D

I have a couple of older MSRs that I've had good luck with.

My Whisperlite International I've had for almost a decade, with many a mile travelled together. It's proven to be reliable and a good cooker. While they're not supposed to "simmer", you can, with careful adjustment and pressure adjustments. You just have to putz with it and keep an eye on it.

I kinda consider my Rapidfire a "multi" fuel, or flexible fuel stove. I've had this one a bit less time than the International, but for unpack, light, and cook, it's a nice stove. The "flexible" part is that over the years, I've tried every type of fuel canister that had a threaded top, and each one has worked out just fine. Not having to stick with MSR's IsoPro allows more flexibility when travelling.

Love those XGK blowtorches! :D
