What's your first purchase of 2013? This thread might be a bit late but hey, you had to have time to buy something right? Mine just came today in the form of a Black blade Coyote Brown handle Kershaw Skyline. Pics are welcome (I don't have one handy yet).

I got a Gayle Bradley, 0560 Blem, 0200, CB Leek blem, and a benchmade 530 so far, not sure which was first. Probably the spyderco. This is going to be a long year for my bank account.

Mine is a 3 piece SOG set for $11 a buddy bought for me in Texas at a large family retail location. No pictures :(, but its still in the mail. Should be here soon!

Tie, recieved a "black Manix 2" & "Manix 2 XL." at the same time. Then recieved a "Dragonfly" about a week ago.:)

Blue Opinel 07 for me. My favorite color on the handle of one of my favorite traditionals was just too hard to pass up.

I ordered a 7in. 'Shelter Cove' fillet knife from Phil Wilson of Seamount Knives at the start of the year...........it arrived today.

I ordered the presentation grade Desert Ironwood scales from Arizona Ironwood LLC. and Phil made the most of these. Amazing fit and finish.

He used N690 @ 60 rc and they don't get much thinner, pointier or sharper than this fillet knife. It has just enough flex to perform well in experienced hands and enough backbone to easily handle the largest of king salmon. Bronze pins finishes off this beauty.

Phil wisely sends these out with Kydex sheaths which employ the latest designs in 'easy in and easy out'. Phil also maintains his constant F&F with his sheaths as he does with his knives. No 1/2 way measures for this very skilled maker.

I am very happy to have taken this leap, but for quite awhile, I knew it was just a matter of time. I'm glad that it was sooner than later.

I hope that everyone's first purchase of the year had similar results.
