I have only been in to hunting for a few years, so I thought it would be interesting to hear about what others have planned for hunting season this year.

Me, I'm going on a moose hunt this year in the Okanagan (British Columbia). In the area that I am going hunting the season for spike fork moose opens on November 1st. White tail and mulies are open as well. A couple of friends and I will be heading up in two trucks and we will be sleeping in my tent trailer.

I have gone deer hunting in this particular area before but all that I saw were moose, so I'm optimistic for this year's hunt. Grouse and rabbits are plentiful up there as well, so we will have plenty to do.

What are your plans for this year's hunt? (Pics are welcomed too).

Ruined is a word that has been in my brain lately. I dont know hlw its gonna work out. Way behind. Good luck to you though. Grouse with be plentiful, not so sure on deer. Worried very late getting things set right. WORRIED.WILL be back if sucsessful

My family got drawn for X3b this year and will be heading up there in Oct for mule deer. Great zone and unfortunately I will not be able to go with them this year :-( so I'll just stay behind and finish working on a hunting rifle, may get an otc tag and make a weekend run close by, but we'll see...

Hope to go on a 7 day hike in October. Not specifically for hunting but I will have deer tags w me. Other than that it'll be a few mornings and evenings in the tree stand out back.

I wish that I lived close enough to hunting territory to just go out back...

I'm on my 4th season of elk hunting
I hunt about 5 mins from my house in the Rio Grande National Forest
I got a buddy driving out from California to join me
I might camp out one night
I like my warm bed, though.....lol

Season comes in for me this Saturday and I am ready to be in the stand. I got my spot and climber set up this weekend and after checking the camera I am itching to be out there. Here are some pics from Friday/Saturday. First I have seen him and hopefully will have some more pics so I can get his routine figured out. These were taken with an older camera.

I’m fortunate to live in some great wingshooting country so my “hunting trips” are usually close to home and often unplanned spur-of-the-moment events, sometimes within only 15 minutes’ drive. :)

Wake up drive 10 minutes, park truck and get out...Walk into woods and hope for deer/elk. Wash, Rinse, and Repeat if necessary.

There are 500, 000 acres of Forest here full of game, its one reason I will never move.

I have to drive at least 2 hours to get anywhere near good hunting grounds. One day I'd like to move further away from the city.

I didn't get drawn for Elk,Deer or Antelope this year so all my outings will be for jackrabbits and coyotes along with a few mountain lion hunts. You can hunt them year round out here.

Lol, 2 hours?! I have to go 6-8 hours drive for good hunting, but have public access land just 1 hour away if I ever feel like getting shot at 0_o

I'm hoping to score a whitetail doe (I have a tag) and a nice fat wild hog sow during a muzzleloader hunt in October; I'll have them both ground up and mixed together, they make the best hamburgers!

That sounds delicious swampdog. Whitey Does are open in certain places around here. Just need the species tag for them.

Excited archery opens end of month here in Ohio for whitetail, I'll do some rabbit an pheasant hunting also, then over to PA for black bear and whitetail.

My wife and I drew tags for antler less elk this year in NE Arizona about the second week of December. After getting skunked by Coues deer last year, we're hoping for a doubly successful hunt this year.
