I really like the 940 but want a non-aluminum body version in addition to the green aluminum monster I currently have. I know that Titanium and Carbon Fiber limited production versions have been done. I would like to find one for sale at a reasonable price or get Benchmade to do a new CF or G-10 version in a large enough run to be readily available or even introduce a standard production non-aluminum version.

What variation do you want to see Benchmade make a run of?

If we are throwing around ideas, then I would ask for these 2:

943, carbon fber handles, Ti liners, and either an M390 blade or CPM-M4.

M4 is one of my favorite steels, but I *hate* blade coatings, and vowed to never buy a coated blade again - unless they brought back a limited classic or something crazy special.

That being said, I would love to see:

1) 940 - Polished CF Scales, Black Anodized Ti Bolsters, Black Ti Liners, and an uncoated (or stonewashed) M390 blade.

2) 940 - Full Black G10 Scales, Satin Ti Liners, and an uncoated M390 blade.

Note: BM, if you use M4 again - PLEASE no coating!!! I am capable of preventing rust lol

Wow, all of these suggestions are roughly along the same lines, and certainly are "dream knife" material for sure. Any combination of CF/G10 and M4/M390 with uncoated blades would be a winner. I prefer the reverse tanto of the 940 over the 943, but only by a small margin. I would welcome any variation on the current designs with regards to handle material and blade steel. I guess what I'm trying to say is any upgrade would be a winner since the base knife itself is already a winner.

I would like to see a 940 in blue or red C-Tek scales.

A 940 with Timascus scales would be awesome as well.:D

What about black/gray g10 with a red titanium back spacer, ti liners, blackened axis lock, and blackened deep carry clip (it works well I have a polished deep carry clip on my standard 940). And with M390 steel.

I'd love a matte-finish aluminum handle with a blue Ti backspacer. I'd also like a straight clip-point blade in a satin finish...

Oh wait :D

The only thing I can see improving is the blade steel, as I adore the bit of heft the aluminum scales provide.

I'm putting a K390 Mule together soon here in order to figure out if I prefer K390 over M390. I do know M390 was a complete bastard to sharpen. So much so, that I paid someone else to do it for me.

Well, my version is totally different. I want one with LSCF scales and M390--what can I say, I dig the warmer color tone of the copper wire.
