Let's try something a little different. If you could only have one knife for all your food prep needs, what would it be? Ideally, this is a knife that you would be comfortable carrying around whether for EDC or the outdoors. If you want to include hunting/field dressing applications, feel free to do so. The only restriction is that this one knife will handle all jobs related to food.

Pics would be highly appreciated!

Looking forward to seeing some examples. I have to admit, my latest I have used is a generic plastic handled serrated steak knife, cutting up chicken for stew, and some celery, not at the same time, of course, but handy all around.

Probably my Benchmade Puukko 200. Ergonomic handle, very tough steel, and long enough to reach the bottom of the peanut butter jar. Would also do fine at field dressing big game and general camp chores.

He, he, you said food processing and EDC carrying ! I would probably choose this one, the shortest of my gaucho knives (bottom one). Although I'd prefer the medium one (middle) for its perfect balance but it would be a bit long for peeling garlic...

Beautiful blades. Really like the handles.
