Just curious out there as to how most of you fellers view your knife tips?I personally prefer a fine tipped blade in S30V,I find it slashes better and penetrates better especially on the undersides of fishes bellies. However this does have its disadvantages.Digging laterally in a log or tree could break it or a hard drop on the ground could blunt it more easily.Looking back at the pioneers blades I see very thinly ground blades with fine tips,so it must have worked well for them? What do you prefer?thick or thin?

THIN, such as on my Rainbow Leek. I do little logging and lots of paint/sealer cutting and like tasks working on airplanes/

I like a pointy tip to some degree. I have one folder with lots of belly and a relatively blunt tip, I always carry a small pointy fixed along with it, for those fine jobs.

I like a good comprise between strength and penetration power. I use the tip of the knife alot when I'm camping and stuff, so I like it to be sturdy, but usable.

Strong and sharp is the way to go for me - clip points and thin spear points are nice.

I like both a sharp thin tip, and a thick strong tip. That's why I carry at least 2 knives with me at all times.
