Hi guys, and Happy Father's Day!
Here's a little knife I made recently from .129" A2 and some terrible carbon fiber stuff I had kicking around. I say terrible because it's terrible to work with; little brass wires poking out all over the place and a general hassle to finish. But it looks kind of cool and I had it on hand, so...
The sheath is compatible with Tecloc, Mummert, Ulticlip and DCC clips, but as pictured has the removable neck harness attached. The snaps are held on with Chicago screws so the whole thing can easily be removed. I opted for snaps for two reasons; 1. so that you could put it on without readjusting the lanyard every time and 2. so that if you fell down a hill while backpacking and the lanyard caught on a root you wouldn't get strangled or decapitated.
The whole package wasn't really finished to a standard that I would otherwise hope to achieve, since it's a prototype, but it turned out pretty good. The knife cuts like a demon and and whole package is no heavier than I'd want it to be for neck carry.
Thanks for looking!
