Out of curiosity, is anyone’s primary knife a 110 these days? I carry one daily, either in a sheath or in my pocket. For what it’s worth, I’m a school teacher for much of the year and I still have a 110 on me. The weight has never bothered me and I use it to cut everything. When I’m not teaching I have an outdoors-job working part time in the game-warden field. I do collect (accumulate) 110s but my everyday carry is currently a 2019 stock knife.

Yes there are a number of us that still carry a 110. Currently I have been carrying the Magnacut version, since it came out.

O.B.

Count me in. 110 every day to work to every job I’ve ever had for 39 years so far. I wore one out had it rebuilt by Buck and still carry it.

Here it is in its sheath on my work pants hanging on their hook ready for Monday morning unless there is an emergency and I have to go before then.

There are 3 hooks in the cellar. Short jeans, long jeans and work pants. All had 110’s on them until I started carrying 212’s when not working.

The 110 is an excellent choice for general use. It's a practical, solid design that lasts a very long time. The one I carry for work is a 110 Sport (I like having it clipped to my pocket). At home I carry a 110 Auto, sometimes with a fixed blade such as the 117.

I'm not sure the OP meant 'the' 110 or derivative.
I have this 110 Slim Pro that I carry most everyday.
It rides so well with it's pocket clip and with it I get the versatility of the 110 but not it's weight.

Yes. I carry too many knives (at the same time) to designate one as a primary, but my primary Buck that I carry daily is a 2021 vintage 110 in a neck pouch. On most days, it's my most used knife.

I'm like rhino in this respect, too many knives carried at the moment to have just one primary. I often carry one of my 110s, but am also receiving other knives to add to the collection. I'm still relatively new at this and have not yet picked a favorite. So far, a 110 I carry would be in the sheath in my EDC bag. I just received my first 112, though. I'll need to alternate it in and see which I prefer. The easier pocket primary choice would be the 303 with dressier pants or the 301 if wearing jeans. One of those would be on me most of the time and not just in the bag.

A two blade 301 and a 112LT at work. Otherwise, one of many 110s in a nylon sheath on my weak side. I use the 110 for all food prep because the blade length is just right for vegetables. I switched over to a drop point to try it out and it works fine. And I seem to stab myself less.

I never actually 'carried' a 110 or 111 much as mostly they are on desk duty. But I have carried a 112 often mostly just in my pocket without a shieth. The Magancut 110 experiment carried in my pocket seems a little heavy but truthfully a 112 is just as useful. The lighter Sports Ecolite aluminum frame and all the plastic handle 110-112's work just as well for me but I really don't give them hard use daily. If I was limited to one it would absolutely be a brass/ nickel frame (with horn!) because they are tough. But the 110 has stood the test of time because it works so well.

When I carry an original 110 (mostly when hunting or scouting/working in the woods) it is in the belt sheath. When I carry a 110LT (mostly when fishing) it is in the nylon sheath. For EDC when working I like the 110 Slim Pro with a pocket clip or a 345 Vantage with a pocket clip - guess I just like all the options Buck offers to me! OH

For a folder it has to be my little 285.
Bought on a whim in 2016 (Pink Muddy Girl Camo), I use it the most around the property.
Small, light, tough, sharp and easy to carry.
It has never let my down through all my adventures and a few mis-adventures.
Now that I have two 110's though, things may change.🤔
Fixed blade is either my customized Ka-Bar 1217, 119 Brahma or my Randall.

My initial post referred to the original brass and wood 110. But I won’t discriminate against other iterations of user-110s.

I, too, struggle to dedicate one knife to cutting, because I like carrying and using my knives. I always have a 110LT with a kwik stud in my pocket, along with a SAK sometimes. I do try to use my 110 most though. I prefer the heft in my hand and don’t find the weight bothersome. I don’t care for a knife clipped to a pocket, personally, but will carry something like that on occasion if I must.

I love seeing the pics of user 110s (with and without sheaths). I’ll try to get one up in the near-future.
