your most evil looking/wonderful HI product?

The 25" kobra will raise eyebrows. Takes a lot of wrist strength to swing it with any control though.

Yes, the Rose is big. You know, it really doesn't look all that threatening. It just is dangerous, it doesn't brag about it.

I think my 25" AK gets the most shock value. It's so big, most people can't think what exactly you do with it...human sacrafice?

I vote for the Rose...it is pure wonderful...nasty looking and amazing.

See guys...*finally* someone uses my name correctly... :D

And it took one of the newer guys to do it!

Agreed...the Rose...

Take a look at a UBE (or movie model, though I don't have one), glinting in the candlelight, on a dark and stormy night.

Have too agree on the UBE. Out of all the lineup it most looks like what I think a killing knife would look like, that is if there were such a thing as a straight killing knife.

That could be true. The Kerambit, for instance, will disembowel before death. Ya might even get a chance to see your own innards if you were ripped by one.

Here's to dark and stormy nights. And Saturdy night horror movies.

Without them I'd have a far less interesting, um... well, I guess collection does sound better than arsenal.

Back before I was married I could rate how good a scary pic was by how many guns and knives were in/around my chair to be put away after the credits.

Of course that was then, when I'd sent about 30 guys back to prison for violating their paroles.

The chamber empty, 30 round magazine loaded with softpoints in the AR15 behind the front door, was my "kinder gentler nature" wanting to give any miscreant an opportunity to rethink his plans. ( While running away and screaming - you understand? ) ;) ;) ;)

I'll confess:
We lived in Fontana, CA, my wife and I, and our house was behind an iron fence and iron bars over the doors and windows.
On one side facing the house there was a burger joint and an alley. On another side of our house was a vacant lot, and beyond that, a couple houses and the Railroad tracks.
On another side of our house was a house. We did not know who lived there. And on the last side facing our house, was a street, right before it ended into a four way stop with a very tiny mini mall.

The area was Mexican, the poverty real, the gangs wherever they wanted to be, and that dirty diaper full of poop tossed onto my yard was probably because I was Whitey and no one gave a damn.

Every week in that house I watched America's Most Wanted.
As I reclined on the sofa, a 1911 or Ruger 45 Colt was laying peacefully across my chest, gently moving up and down with my respirations.

Strange, a lady I used too work with and her husband moved from around the same area, seemed like Fontana too but wouldn't swear to it, too a little town called Roundup Montana, from one extreme to the other.;)
I really do need too call Mary Lou and Rueben.:grumpy:

I have several in mind, but the one that seems the "meanest" to me is the Bura New Kobra I was lucky enough to snag last August. A guy named Bill Sanders snagged the other one, and did a write up about it. As far as I know those were the only two done. I would have liked to see one about 18" and also a longer one in wood.

This was horn, 20" long and weighing 27 oz. Looks kinda like the Becker Patrol Machete, if you have ever seen one of those.

Here is a link to the sale page, it is the second from the left.

The thing just wants to cut, and it has nailed me at least once when I wasn't expecting it. Other than that, I have to say the keramibits look pretty threatening. I wouldn't want someone swinging one at my belly!

Regards,

Norm

i guess with me i'll have to go with my 20" horn sirupati by kumar--excellent looking knife--nice balance--will open a persons eyes with it in your hand  :)

Yes, I think I do understand :D

toss up between my karambit or my movie model...I would choose the karambit to grab first, but the movie model can do a lot just with its looks alone

I would have to say my 20 in Sirupita by Bura, just plain wicked lookin. Excelent balance and swing, If Crocodile Dundee needed a knife he shoulda contacted Uncle Bill for a Rose or a 20 inch Sirupita.

A quote from a good friend:

"A dagger in the night is worth a thousand swords at dawn."

I kind of think it would be depend on who was holding what... I tend to look at khukuris and such as interesting stuff ("hey! Cool !)...but the appearance and apparent intent of the holder/wielder is what gives me pause.

Katars seem sort of single-purpose tools, but then I think landscaping nails are the ideal weapon, used properly. I'm currently conflicted between the aluminium and the steel ones.
