What i mean by this is, share how many knives you got from 1.
What did you start with and what do you have currently from that origional first trade. Hope that makes sense. I think this will be fun to see.

for me
Start: Boker Mini Resurrection
traded for:
Spyderco Persian (dont ask me how i pulled that off)
Traded that for:
Spyderco Orange Military
Traded for:
ESEE RC5
Traded for:
BRKT Hudson Bay

Not the longest list but i always found it interesting where i started and how i got from a low end boker to a really great 13in BRKT hudson bay

please share your best "Trade Tree" <thats what im gonna call it :D

Here's a direct copy from a post I made back in January:

For the longest time that was the ONLY way I got to handle new knives. I received a Bud Nealy 5" Damascu Aikuchi way back in the day.
I traded it for a 3 in ATS-34 Aikuchi and a Spyderco Civilian.
The Civilian Got traded for 3 knives.
The Aikuchi was sold and used to purchase a Benchmade 941BC1 Red plus other knives.
BM was sold to fund the rest of a purchase of a DDRalph Apogee.
The Apogee was traded for a Dale Reif Atrox,
which was then traded for a Unique Graphics Large Sebenza.
The large Sebenza was traded for a customized Microtech Socom Elite auto, a MOD Hornet manual, and an Al Mar SERE2K.
The Socom Elite auto (lizard skin inserts) was traded with some cash for a Microtech Halo III.
The Halo III was traded for a Large Sebenza "P"
The Sebenza "P" was sold and used to purchase a William Henry Spearpoint with Pearl.
The WH Pearl was traded with a manual Microtech Socom for a Damascus and Pearl William Henry Lancet.
The Lancet was traded for a Camillus Cuda Dominator and cash.
The Cash bought my wife an awesome watch for our anniversary.

This is the line of one knife, and it's trade/purchase generations. Money from the tree came and went, but the life can be traced one knife to the next for over 6 years of active knife activity.

Now adays, I'm much more likely to keep what I get. I haven't traded a knife away in almost 2 years. I tend to save up for knives, research the heck out of them, and then buy it to keep.

Things used to be much more exciting.
