Your one favorite knife?

OK,We all love knives,but out of all of the knives you own,what knife is your absolute one favorite knife?Mine is a buck 110 out of the custom shop,that I asked Joe to do some work on,It has massive stag and bg-42 blade.

I am unsure if this is possible for me to do! I like them all alot! I mean out of the EDC rotation and display/collection knives... Could I really pick a collectible over one I use everyday?(or every 5th day) :D

I like each knife in my collection for one reason or another, they arent all the same reasons... As far as EDc knives, each is suited to different tasks. ( they all work but some better than others) I have a different favorite for hunting, camping, backpacking, work...
I will think on this thread for awhile ;)
 
[One! If I had to rely on only one, why, that could cause me to go into cardiac arrest!!

Not one folder (lockblade),and one folder (slipjoint),and one multi,and one fixed blade? (So axes don't count as a knife right?)
Narrowing it down to one knife per type would be near impossible but one as representative of all cutlery? WOW!
Even narrowing down to one brand/one steel type would be hard.

I might be able to squeeze them into a top ten, if that was just for knives i own. If you include knives i lust after but don't own then even a top ten would be impossible!

I guess it is a hard question,LOL,I said mine was one that Joe had custom built out in the custom shop,but i realize i had other favorites also,an old 2 dot comes to mind ,hehe,not to mention the new gen 5 i'm so impressed with the design and functionability,I realize I asked the wrong question now,it should have been "whats your favorite nife right now".It is hard to pick just one,isn't it.
 
Well...that's a tough question, which caused me to take great consideration. Out of all the manufacturers and models of knives that I own, I would have to say that my Custom Shoppe brass, stag, FG, BG-42, 110, is my favorite. There simply isn't any other knife I own, that has as much character and 'soul' in it, as that 110. It is a wonderful creation, IMHO.
 
I love the 110. After a Mosin Nagant, a custom shoppe job will be in my sights next. I like the heft of it. The handle design is such that, though it doesn't have a fancy texture, it doesn't need it. A real classic.

I will confess that another reason it's my favorite...nostalgia, the 70's...so many people carried them...even in high school, openly! (if you can believe that). Those days are gone my friends.
 
If favorite means the one you carry or at least fondle the most then these are my favorites-
fixed blades right now are my Buck 102 Woodsman and my Mora 2000 and my modded Buck Frontiersman 124.
Folders would be my 110FG with thumbstud, SOG Tomcat with thumbstud and Vic Outrider.

However I edc my Leatherman xe6 and my Buck mini-trapper.
The Buck does most of the daily normal cutting chores.
Actually i really really like the Mini-Trapper!

OK...my all time fav is not a user (so it prob doesn't count)...that is the 110NSSambar 2006 Dam.

For a FB, I gotta give points to my 187 Intrepid. That may change after I get my 189 Intrepid...or is it my 890TX Strider Buck crowbar?

For a folder, it's my 419 Kalinga Pro...or my 110NS Koa Dam. Or my 110NS Koa BG-42.
Crap...I dunno...ask me tomorrow.
Hmmm...I'm thinking for ONE folder on a desert isle it would have to be my 882/9 (882 handle with a 889 blade)...or the 880 Strider Buck.

So, it's a 880 and the 187...which, co-inky-dinky is what is on my person as I type :)

During hunting season the 110 has always been the favorite. Will the 419 replace it,,,, yet to be determined.

During off season a Hi Lo or Cutback, either one, are abused daily.

Favorite,,,,, is the one that says,,,, Buck
 
Dang Gooser, didn't ya grab one of those pig stickin 651's??? You can put those other long toys away...:D
 
For me......Its a 112.....But which one?????????? I can tell yall what it WILL be...The Black horn,bald headed, chip-flint,NS,FG,BCCI fund raiser!!!! I hope I can get 2...One has to go in my rare/odd 112 collection, the other will see some DUC time...
 
What the FXXX is this thread about???? Only one knife!!!! Who ever thought up such a horrible thing as only one knife :(. Only one knife maker...BUCK...that's easy. Ok...my one and only favorite Buck knife is the next one I get :). There that was not so hard....so I'll let you know what my favorite knife is when I get it.

Maybe that will be the next favorite du jour for me. Like John asked and what I alluded to as well...I think Blades must be off his rocker to ask this group of Buck Herd Nerds which "ONE". :D

BUT, to be honest (once a day I strive for that), I'm not too hot on the Nighthawk for one reason only...the handle being what appears to be epoxied on. That is why I like the Intrepid with the Torx nutz in the handles (plus the chopper gizmo on the spine).

Having said that, if I get the Nighthawk MEOC (MaleEnhancementOverCompensator) 651 my mind may change as I prefer not to have partial serrtations (which my Intrepid 187 has...they should have "spined" that too IMHO).
 
I have two,though both are 112's.Stag 2 dot,and BG42 112.When I carry a buck I carry the BG42 bladed 112.

I have tried to grab up some intrepids here and there, just never got aggressive enough I guess. We have kicked that thumb groovin thang around on a few kinves before...Lot of them could use that. :thumbup:
