What's your opinion on thorson forge axes?

I'd love to hear real life experiences, but I'm open to hearing anyone's opinions.

I went down a couple years ago and forged my first tomahawk at Dale’s place. There were 3 other guys there forging viking hatchets that were more in the style of what he usually produces.

I found him very helpful and pleasant to work with, and quite knowledgeable about materials and efficient work methods. I had never used a power hammer before and was kinda clumsy at it, but he helped me through the learning curve like it was no big deal.

I oughta go back and make what he calls a boarding axe, basically a spike hawk with a curved bit.

He’s a decent guy, go see him if you get a chance.

I'm not looking to visit his forge. I'm considering buying one of his axes so I'm looking for people's opinions and/or experiences with his thorson axes.
