I need some opinions from knife users.

I have been making some knife handles lately. This time, rather than create a rounded handle, I thought I would make something a bit more squared off, to keep it from slipping out of the hands. Below is a picture of my finished product. Do you think it is too "blocky" or is it just right?

What about the black Sharpie line running length-wise? I added it to sort of make it more visually interesting. Does it add to the beauty and elegance of it? What do you think?

Also, does the guard really fit in? I'm having my doubts about the guard, and I just might modify it. What do you think?

Go ahead and be honest. Thank you.

I think the Boy Scouts stole your design, dude. They peddle it as the "Pinewood Derby block." You should get a lawyer.

No, I think the sharpie line definitely adds to the beauty of the handle. :D

I love it, I want one. I have a c-clamp for a hand so the ergo's of that handle would fit me great.

Sadly, I've had more then a few custom and high end knives that felt like that handle looks.

Hhahaha to this thread as a whole. I'm sitting on the range and this made me laugh out loud. I look dumb

Thanks for all the feedback thus far, even though I have a hunch that the remark about the "c-clamp hands" is sarcastic. If this design isn't for you, then just keep moving; no need to be a smart ass. I'm sure there are lots of people for whom this handle would be just right.

I forgot to mention, it has another innovation, which is not visible in the picture. At the back end, the tang is threaded and the handle is secured in place by a wing-nut. No glue needed! Furthermore, it's just a common nut from an old air filter housing, so replacements can be found quite easily. If you lose it, no big deal. This arrangement also allows you to easily convert the knife to "ultralight carry," leaving the handle at home. Sometimes a handle is just not necessary.

Assuming you're serious for a second and actually want feedback on the handle in the picture then you're getting it. Everyone reading this thread thinks it's a joke. I think that speaks for the design.

Two Sharpie lines would make the knife faster, like racing stripes on a Camero.

:)

And if you put a stripe on one side, you must do it to the other side also. Otherwise the handle will appear asymmetrical, which is a huge turn-off.

Im not being sarcastic. You try getting your hand bit off by a rocky mountain horned bear; and then finding out the hospital was all out or pirate hooks so you have to settle for a clamp. Then try and find a knife with clamp ergo's.

Slightly off topic....but the one truth I've found here (and in life in general) is that if you tell people to move on and not be a smart-ass....they are going to hang around and be a smart-ass.

Not me, mind you....other people.

I always found it better to be a smart-ars, than a dumb-s#!t.

Still can't tell if serious....

How about if I put it this way....I have seen knives where I know the maker was serious that looked just as, if not worse, than that.

I am pretty sure I would look for another maker. :D.

Only thing that would make it better is to write tactical on the handle with that black sharpie, then it would sell for sure.
