Your process for a highly polished blade?

Lots and lots of sandpaper, starting from around 150 grit and working your way up. Automotive sandpaper up to 3000 or so. Finish with autosol paste on a buffing wheel/dremel.

Buying a knife with a mirror polish.
These things weren't meant to go that way... the machining marks on the blade are DEEP, and it's already hardened. Vastly easier to get it up to 400 before heat when it's soft.

Hours and hours of elbow grease  I use an old broken stone as a sanding block with 220 grit handy roll cloth across it to start and end with 600 grit. I started doing this not cause I like shiny knives I don't. I just don't like the grind lines :D The reason my knives are still shiny cause I'am still working on em :p I will say I do like smooth steel ;)

I know! See my sig! I'm wanting a saber grind 16 and still no luck finding one! I own more Beckers than any other brand and am damn proud of them all!
I wanted one for a long time too. It wasn't too long ago someone on this site said Knife Center had em listed as smooth coat. Wish I would have got a couple but at the time wasn't for sure they'd be Saber Ground Keep your eyes open hopefully you'll find one soon. :)
