Yesterday, I was out and about and realized I left home knifeless and therefore I felt quite naked. So, while at a fishing tackle shop on Long Island, I looked at their knives display and decided to buy your standard Buck 110. I have many Bucks, including a Custom Shoppe 110, but I've never owned the standard 110. I just want to say that the standard 110 I bought yesterday (a 2006) is flawless in fit and finish. It has the all the authoritative snap of my custom, and there are absolutely no tool or rub marks on the blade, which was ideally sharp right out of the box. This beauty is perfect.
 
Yeah, I know that goes. I've done that a few times. It's comforting to know, that in a pinch you can pretty much grab one anywhere.
 
There it is, best bang for your buck any time, not just when you really need a knife.
