My wife isn't into knives anyway. Besides the usual shoe fetish that most women have (she actually has around the avg or less than most women, I think) my wife is really into purses and beads. She just spent 3 hours looking at beads on eBay (she kindly reminded me that I spend just as long shopping for knives sometime). Although, I think her beading actually helps us save money because she often gives them as gives, and AFAIK they actually turn out pretty nice. At least I think her friends like them, and to me they look very professionally made. As far as wasted money goes, I think that purses are her worst vice. She has a TON of them, and I mean 100+, probably more like 200+, thankfully most of her friends and my mom know what to get her, so she really doesn't spend too much on them anymore.

My girlfriend digs shoes and jewelry. She has good sense, though, and doesn't spend what she doesn't have :)

I've got lots more shoes than my wife:rolleyes:

She loves candles, specifically "Party Lite" candles. We have cases of them around the house.

She is also into "Stamping Up" stuff and just bought a whole bunch of "comforts of home" dishes.

Its not bad, though, she doesn't really spend all that much and I can get away with a few knife purchases here and there because of it.

Agreed with the shoes. Jewellry, clothes are in there. My Fifth Avenue rep has saved my butt more than few times when I "forgot":) - bless her heart. A big one with her is scrapbooking and stamping - I think she has more tied in her stuff there than I do with my folder collection (somewhere between 80 and 100 folders). I think books are in there as well, but then I buy those too. I forgot - coats/jackets - I think she has a coat or jacket for every occasion/temperature range for Calgary. I think it's to co-ordinate with her shoes, but we won't go there:)

Starbucks.

She really is adicted to her latte's. Karen downs a couple of them a day and then she gets hyper for the next couple hours after drinking one. Although sometimes it can be amusing to watch a 5' 2" person down a Grande with extra shots of expresso, then go bouncing off the walls and really getting into her vacum cleaning jazz. :D

My wife is a thrift store junkie. Sometimes this can be good. On the bookcase by my computer is a pristine two volume set of the World Book Dictionary for which she paid $1.75. Also on the bookcase is a set of five mugs from the fifties with my alma mater's older style logo on them for which she paid fifty cents each.

However, she picks up so much stuff, admittedly for practically nothing, that she plans to use one of these days but never seems to. We are choking on stuff, like decorative candles and candlesticks. She is a packrat, and it has gotten totally out of hand. As a practical matter, we have the use of about 1/2 of the house because of junk clogging up the rest of it.

My wife is into the Scrapbooking deal. She spends all her free time working on that stuff, and since she got started late, she had to go back several years to catch up, and is just now scrapping last January's pictures. She will catch up this year, and then, who knows what she'll do. My wife does that Mary Kay thing a bit, as well. When I see a bill from our rep, I think, "How many knives could I have gotten for that?" :D She's worth it, though.

My girlfriend likes horses, and they're both smelly and expensive. But at least she only has one for now, and it keeps her occupied. And she works at other barns for money so it's not like it costs me anything. I got off easy. I'll post back in this thread in 10 years or so when I'm married to her and 10 horses. :D

Dude you want slapping round the head! Horses are one of the best smelling things in the world after fresh cut wood and morning coffee :D

My wife spends nothing on herself but a tonne on our son which is fine with me.

So, does your girlfriend know that you think she's smelly and expensive like her horse? :p

My wife does not buy a damn thing! Then always complains about not having something to wear. If she does finally break down and get herself something then it's like she feels guilty about it. Just tonight, I brought home a brand new 5-1 5.11 jacket for her that I got for cost. She tried it on and it was too big so I said I would take it back and get a smaller size. She says, no I don't really need it now, why don't you keep it for yourself. I can get one another time. When in July?? And I already have a ton of stuff. :(

Cat toys...My wife buys cat toys for our cats, eventho she KNOWS that they would rather play with the bag and/or boxes that the toys came, in rather than with the toys themselves...I keep trying to tell her that it would be cheaper to just buy the cats a box of sacks to play with.:D.

I don't know what weaknesses my ex has since I divorced the beatch, but one of the women I've been seeing off and on collects miniature lighthouses. Go figure.

Scrapbooking stuff, stamping accessories, and teddy bears. The teddy bears are definitely the most expensive, and she has over 250 of them at last count!

That cool! At least it's not cherubs or unicorns or other rubbish!

My girlfriend is into rocks...... I dont mean diamonds, I mean rocks you find outside. Sounds funny, but its because she is studying Geology. It works out for me though cuz rocks are cheap (practically free:rolleyes: ) and when ever I'm out for a hike or jog I just keep my eye open for any rocks I think she may find interesting. That said, she doesn't mind it when i bring home diamonds either....
