the point is like the title says please also say what kinda knife mine is today i was at the store and saw a benchmade bone collector asked the guy about it and well i ended up trading my case and gerber tool for it good trade i think then i saw a strider in a pocket and bought that. Then i saw a hindere i didnt get it but it was carbon fiber scales on it tell me your story now

You must live in an extremely knife popular neighborhood. I never see knives of any real value on other people that I don't know. If I saw a benchmade, Strider and a Hinderer all in one day, I would think I was going crazy. I did however ask someone about the clip in their pocket, because it looked like a really nice clip. He looked at me like i was crazy and told me it was a money clip, not a pocket knife lol

I've seen tons of knives. But mostly on people I know and on people at the knife store.
Knives I've seen:
Hinderer XM-18
Strider SNG
Benchmade Skirmish
Darrell Ralph Gun Hammer
ZT 0560
ZT 0550
Spyderco Para 2
Spyderco Pingo
Spyderco Endura
Kershaw Vapor
Meyerco Maxx-Q

My knives today are a Large Sebenza 21 and Spyderco Caly 3 CF/Damascus.

I went into town early this morning and got my hair cut at 0820. Then I went over to the Niles Hotel and got a cup of coffee and a Bludberry Scone to go and drove out to the Wilson Ranch to watch their hands lay out the alfalfa in their feed lot for the yearling calves. They'll fatten up those calves and sell them out at the Auction Yard this Spring.

Didn't see any knives anywhere. Around these parts, you just don't go up to someone and ask them questions like - What knife is that in your pocket? Bad manners - not polite to butt into someone's business like that. It could even lead to an unplanned trip to the Dentist.

Haven't seen that many. Saw some guy using a Military once, another time a shady-looking character dropped a large folder on the ground and ran away.

My little brother carries a BM Griptilian, so asked him where he got it. Told me I gave it to him. I'm a good brother ;)

My bestfriend carries a lot of high end productions if that counts.

I've never had an experience other than them two.

The last time I EVER carried a knife with the pocket clip showing was years ago when I was in the service. There was a van on base that military volunteers would drive to help other soldiers get around base. Anyway, I was riding in in the van trying to get back to the barracks from the main gait, and we stopped by the bar on base to pick up a couple of the drunkies. Drunk soldier climbs into the seat behind me (and it was pretty late, so I'm dosing off a bit); he obviously saw the knife clipped to my pocket, and he managed to quickly grab it out of my pocket before I could stop him. He opened the knife and started threatening everyone in the van with it. Well, the driver and navigator happened to be M.P. so they took both of us to the M.P. station, and booked us. 1st sergeant had to come bail us out at 2am, and was not happy. I didn't really get into trouble, but drunky had to run back to the barracks in his civi cloths (still drunk) with 1st sergeant following behind in his car (it was at least 7 miles). He then got smoked for at least another hour back in the yard. I never got the knife back; it was the CRKT M-16 with titanium handle.

Now, I always keep my EDC completely concealed.

I see knives on people all the time. All the time. I live in the greatest state in the country though so it's no wonder. ;)

I'm in high school so day to day I don't see many. But in school they were doing a school computer meeting in the assembly room. And one of the tech department guys had a Leatherman sheath on his belt and a kershaw (cyclone I'm guessing) in his back pocket. I was talking to him about it I was like cool kershaw and Leatherman. I think he was surprised a student said something about it.

Also at the grocery store I saw a guy with a stag handled fixed blade on his belt, once again I said something, I was like i like your fixed blade. He said thanks. And I'm sure he was surprised that a younger person said something about it.

same here im also in highschool when i asked the guy about the bone collector he was very suprised

Well I was at the store the bagger and the cashier where talking about jap water stones

And one day at a trade show I saw a benchmade clip looked like a mini grip or Presidio.

Kershaw Shallot-some guy at 5-Guys
Kershaw chill-on a party-designer during an ice sculpture delivery
SOG Twitch-2-on a janitor
Kershaw Chive-my uncle to whom I hardly ever see
BUCK stockman small- guy at knife counter at Wal-Mart
BUCK stockman large-My friends grandfather
BUCK 110- family friend

I noticed a familiar looking clip on a south city cop. I said, "Nice Blur". He couldn't figure out how I knew he had a Blur in his pocket. We compared Kershaws and I sat in my mail truck and put a very nice edge on his tan Blur- an officer of the law can't tote a dull knife!!!

I went hiking a few months ago at a place not too far from my house and as I was going on the trail I saw a guy coming off of it and noticed he had an izula patch on his bag so I said something and we chatted for a bit about knives and such. Then last month a guy I know came back into town after being gone for about a year and I noticed he had a blue Delica and had to say something to him about it. Thats about all that I can remember from recently.

The bad manners part must be completely localized to wherever you happen to be standing at the time. Anywhere else, folks typically don't mind being politely asked about something in the public's view. Would it be bad manners to strike up a conversation with someone if they're wearing a ball cap bearing a team logo? A nice pair of shoes? A fine cigar peeking out from a pocket or a nice tie clip or watch?

I see people with clips occasionally but rarely recognize something that I know.

I was out with friends about a year ago and one of the guys pulled out a well used Benchmade Stryker and handed it to me.

And just recently at Christmas I noticed that my nephew had a Leek clipped to his pocket. Before he could see what I was doing and stop me I grabbed it and pulled it out of his pocket to check it out.
