  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Your top 10 spyderco's and benchmades of all time :)?

I haven't had many Benchmades, but, as far as spyderco goes, I'll list them in the order of the ones I used the most (which kinda tells you which I thought were best):

1. Gayle Bradley (the only one of these I still have)
2. Southard
3. Tenacious / Endura Wave (tied, carried as a pair)
4. Manix XL
5. Paramilitary 2
6. 110v Forum Native

Those are all I ended up really using. As far as build quality and beauty:

1. Vallotton
2. Southard
3. Gayle Bradley
4. M390 and CTS-XHP PM2s (Only PM2s I've had that had zero play and a glassy smooth pivot from factory)

I've had many more, but they don't spring to mind and thus must not have made much of an impression on me.

In order most -> least.

1) Sage 3
2) mini-grip 555(HG)
3) 480-1 Shoki
4) Dragonfly ZDP
5) 710
6) manbug ZDP (my favorite keychain knife)
7) Caly 3.5
8) 707
9) Tasman SE (its just so utilitarian it had to make the list)
10) Matriarch 2 wave

Based off what I've owned, not in any particular order...

Benchmade / Spyderco
- Griptilian / Military
- Adamas / Sage 1
- Rift / Sage 2
- 940 / Sage 3
- Contego / GB
- 710 / PM2
- 755 / Tenacious
- 943 / Starmate
- 707 / Delica
- Barrage M390 / Chaparral CF

I'm not nearly as "invested" in Benchmades as I am Spydercos. The only Benchmade that I have kept is my Contego in M4. I love that knife. In Spydies, I'm a Millie addict. Have almost every one. Almost! :-) The CF S90V and the XHP are still missing. I also love the Southard, the Gayle Bradley, and recently the Tuff. I'm quite a Spydie fan. In the BM's, not as much though I like some of their offerings, just not as much as my Spydies.

The great steels, the designs, and the smoothness of the Spyderco line really stand out to me. Short of some mid-techs, and full customs, I personally like Spyderco the best. My opinion only, YMMV.

Benchmade is the Ritter Mini Grip in M4 and and the original large Spyderco Manix.

I wanna change mine (and add a few, I'm not sure I can list 10 of each but I'll try). Disregard my last post
