I've been thinking for a while now it might be nice to have a high quality knife, or even a short sword, (in the Roman style), with a blade made from bronze. Obviously this is not going to be an EDC, it would be a display piece but I think it would look good if done well with a good, well matching handle material.

Has/does anyone ever produced such a thing?

Sounds kinda cool, actually.

Bronze doesn't rust, right? I imagine it's not able to hold an edge real well? (I dunno.)

Be sure to let us know where you find someone making stuff like that if you find it.

I saw somewhere a while ago,
that somewhere, someone makes forged bronze knives,
just like they did in the old days,
and apparantly they don't perform that badly, either.

Well, I haven't found a modern bronze knife maker yet but I did come across this web site during my searches.
