I got my Super CQC-7 from New Graham Knives today. I was taking the trash out near some bushes, thinking of what might be in those bushes when something (found out later to be a damned wild cat) shook the heck out of those bushes! I reached into my pocket and wrapped my hand around the knife, thinking that a coyote or wild dog could be about to attack me, only to find that the blade had opened a bit....allowing my fingers to get inbetween the blade and handle. I got a nice cut on my middle and ring finger. I didn't even feel it when it cut into me (Emersons are sharp!) and it bled like crazy. I got yelled at by the wife while she counted my fingers to make sure they were all still there. It bled through a few 4x4s but it clotted quickly thanks to the razor edge cut.
It was really my own fault, I don't blame the knife or tip-down carry, I reached into my pocket from the side instead of straight down like I usually do. Oh well, lessons learned.
Thanks for the bandaids New Graham!
