Youth Mora??

I recall reading a post some time ago about a youth Mora; it had a larger grip with finger stop and a rounded tip I believe.

What model is it? I plan to get my nephews one... Thanks.

this one here is good and their hands wont slip into the blade it does not have a rounded tip but no moras do so you might have to round them your self

The 511 is the clostest thing i can think off. It has a really large gaurd, but the tip isnt rounded.

mora has alot of models that are only available in europe, so it may have been one of those that had the rounded tip.

Ditto. Ragnar at Ragweed Forge (click the link above) has all kinds of Moras designed for scouting, youth groups and craft work.

Edit 2: My personal opinion, if you have decided that a youngster is old enough and responsible enough to own a knife, then don't insult his/her intelligence by giving them a blunt-tip knife.

I think you're correct.

I prefer a non-blunt tip, but that is how I mistakenly recalled as the the description of the 'youth Mora.' But I think I mixed the Mora and SAK descriptions. After perusing the ragweedforge link, the knife I was looking for is the #546.
