Hey Mike,

Thanks for the insights into your operation. I was impressed with your disciplined approach to business. However, as a former journalist I found the interview a little lacking in some areas and I have some questions of my own that I would like to ask, if you don't mind?

Firstly, you mention that you feel a need to keep 'AK-47s' around your house due to the high threat level in the ghetto where you live. I had to wonder why, with all the success you are having, you still find it necessary to live in the ghetto. Isn't it time you found a nice place in the suburbs where you can put away the guns and not worry about your personal security all the time?

Secondly, as much as I appreciate the artistry and utility of the Ghetto Gator and other items you have produced lately, I would like to know if you are ever plan on getting back to making knives like the Hybrid and Axis folders that established your reputation in this industry. I personally feel they were some of the most practical and original designs we have ever seen in this thing of ours.

Thirdly, as much as I appreciate the humour and entertainment value of your videos (and would personally love to see you with your own reality TV show) don't you feel that ultimately with your reputation in the industry that your product could pretty much sell itself and your time would be better spent making more knives and such?

Much respect from South Africa,
Mark

Yo Mike, thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions and make that rocking vid. I would have responded sooner but the danged internet is slow as molasses right now and it took forever to upload and I wanted to watch the whole thing.

It was a truly fascinating insight into your methods and philosophies and I have nothing but admiration for the way you have recovered from the bad times you went through. Divorce is some heavy duty sh*t, no doubt. My brother went through it a while back and it took him a year or two to recover. To be honest I dont think he'll ever be the same.

I definitely need to check out yr website properly. I guess I am only getting a small part of the story with the stuff you post on the forums. I'm real pleased to hear that you are still working on the classic designs, those are some of the best designs ever IMO. As a wharncliffe fan I particularly appreciate the Hybrid but of course the Retaliator is one of the all time greats too.

I hope you dont catch a bullet out there on the corridor, it sounds like a pretty bad neighbourhood... but at least it keeps you honest and sharp and on top of your game, which you obviously are.....;)

Thanks again and keep those vids and blades coming!
