Hey all you buck friends,

I just did a review on my youtube channel of the buck alpha dorado, a slightly overlooked knife if you ask me. I think it looks great and it's a nice little handy tool.

You can see the table of contents of what I will be talking about in the info panel beneath the video.

I'd appreciate some feedback from you and please rate when you're looking :D

buck alpha dorado rosewood review

its nice nowadays to see a knife that isnt "uglied up" by a pocket clip.

Thanks for the link.
It was intresting review for me because I havent got Alpha Dorado.

Good video and review. The phone rings at the wrong time for you. Have one with the darker scales and like it a lot.

Good review. I have a couple Alpha Dorados. At first I didn't think they were anything special but after using one for a few days I decided that I liked it. What's nice is that it is small enough to fit in your pocket and large enough if you prefer a sheath. I like the spear point on this small knife, too. It has a sturdy build.

I have a rosewood CPM-154 Bass Pro prototype and a camo build-out with regular 154CM steel. The CPM-154 proto came with a leather sheath. The camo came with a matching camo nylon sheath.

I don't have a YouTube account yet so haven't posted there.

thanks for the kind words so far
@edbeau: it was the doorbell :) A salesman, but I'm kindof very good these days in getting rid of them under 30 seconds (with a smile), a new sport for me hehe

 I agree good review of a lesser known knife! I think the Dorado is way under rated! I am really happy with mine!!!!

Zyhano,

Good review, covered it all. I didnt realize that liner locks werent always above the liner. I dont mean to sound stupid(cant help it, just natural for me) when I ask, How do you release the lock if it is flush or below the liner?-seems like that would be a hassle.

Also thanks for the review cause I saw this 347 Pro review.

I have little use for youtube but your review helps justifiy its existance.

thanks for the compliment
Your thumb will be able to adjust the liner when the liner is flush with the handle. When it is a little below the handle, and there is room between the two handle slabs, you can even put some flesh between those two handles. So you would be able to release the lock even then.
As you can see in my emerson takedown video of the horseman, the liner lock is flush or even under the handle lines. They have a good guard though, where the liner is also. This helps for a large liner top surface, which you can get a hold off.

hope that helps

The 270 is a well built knife . The first ones had ATS-34 blade steel and a bit stiff lock . This design has gotten better . One of my girls likes that model and has one w/ each steel offered . They preform well, good strength, cut quick with a nice grip . DM
