what an excellent Christmas present. thanks to my lovely lady, i am now the proud owner of the coolest acrylic i've yet seen. GEC is taking care of business with this GLITTER GOLD acrylic!:D:thumbup:

i took these as dusk was setting in:

here is a close-up of the handle:

sign me up for a sunfish/toenail done with this handle material
anybody else pick one up?

Silver and gold. Silver and gold...

That is a fine looking specimen and as far from "tactical" as one could get. Congrats .

Those are some very nice pics of a great looking knife.

Congrats!

thanks, guys
i think it will be more of an occasion knife for the pocket but i'm going to keep it out where i can enjoy looking at it in the meantime.

A nice big sunfish would look cool in that handle...

yes sir. bring on the GOLDfish! :D

Interesting. I have a bulldog Cheetah with that exact same shimmer.

Bad pic, but:

LKJW, i saw your picture a while back in another thread and it definitely got my hopes up as i waited for the GEC. this material reminds me of those cool old bowling balls you sometimes see at alleys.
when i've seen pictures of very creative, "light-hearted" celluloid handles from the past, it has sometimes made me feel that we're living in a slightly more uptight time. i'm glad that a contemporary manufacturer is having some fun and mixing in a few offbeat elements in addition to the fine traditional materials.

You guys know I have some celluloid Bulldogs and Fight'n Roosters. I have kind of moved away from buying more because of the "features" of that handle material, but I am really liking that knife. Looks very good. - Ed

Very nice knife "jazub"!! Those handles do stand out. That little jack will make a nice EDC user. Ya got the best of both worlds -- great lady and great knife.
