I posted this in general but I thought you guys might appreciate this also.

I ordered this a while ago and it was shipped today! :D This is one of my grail knives...

Yuna Hard 3
Black G10 bolsters. Silver twill G10 slabs.
Specs from makes site.

ZDP-189, laminated with ATS-34
Blade length 3.5" from tip to handle
Closed length 5 1/4"
Opened length 8 3/4"

Holy crap! That is one fantastic knife!

I love then hate threads like these. I love the knifes, craftsmanship, detail, etc. and then get depressed that I don't have one and probably never will. /sigh :(

Another Great one Yun!

That is a Hard 2 right?

I think my next one will be a Mini Hard 2. :D


Real quick some initial thoughts.

Ergos on the handle are unreal. I've show this to some of my local knife buddies and everyone agrees that the handle fits any size hand perfect.

Sharp? Unreal. I love the line you can see in the blade because of the layered steel. Hollow ground. A real slicer.

Lockup? Solid. If you open it slow....solid. You flip it hard....solid. Real nice. :cool:

Detail? Everywhere you look you see little things that Yun did to make this a one of a kind. Every knife guy I've show it to is speechless. :D They just hold it and turn it over and over taking it all in. I've had it a few days and I look at it every day and I still stare and turn it over and over....

In the pocket? Well truth is I have only had it in my pocket once and only for a minute. :o It's too new for me to even consider carrying it around...I know I know....I'm such a wuss.... I will carry it and use it. It's just so nice right now....

Anyhow here are some pics. No where near as nice as the ones Yun took but I have some next to an SnG for size comparison. The blades are almost the same size but the Yuna has a longer handle.

I recently recieved mine and I too am blown away at the details. However unlike you, this thing went straight to the pocket when I got it. To show a little of the wuss side though, I think I'll be a little scared to use it hard for the first time.

My Hard 1 came (lol) probably the sharpest I've gotten any knife. I love to freehand and I can whittle hairs and I was totally impressed by the edge. Yun is the man.

Mine joined the edc rotation last Sunday and I love it. Had it with me everyday since.
