Yuna knives

Hi all, quick question, are Yuna knives speed assist...?
They look like great knives and the price seems fair since you can pretty much create what you want made...but i'm just wondering if there "speed assist" also...

not sure what you mean...but I think the answer is no...

that said it shouldn't be an issue, those suckers open smoooooooooth
 
No, they aren't assisted openers (i.e., knives that use a spring or torsion bar to aid deployment of the blade).
 
They're not assisted. Looking closely at my knife, it just has a loose pivot that somehow loses all side to side blade play when the blade is locked open. Ingenious design there to be honest.

That's a really interesting design. I'm on the list for a Yuna (should be ready sometime around July/August), so I guess I can add that cool little piece of engineering to my many reasons to look forward to it.

hey neuron, do you know what kind of Yuna knife you are leaning towards?
 
i have a yuna hard 2 on order - flamed titanium both sides
