I made window screen out of aluminum net. After it installed into frame it need to be cut out on the borders (about 15' total) - good test for Yuns Hard with "brittle" ZDP189 blade! I cut it out and it was just pleasure to do - it goes very smooth (I used scissors before as OSH salesman uses). And at the end no single chip or other problem like this. I tried to shave my arm - some hairs were shaved some were not, which is not surprising me at all, but once again ZDP189 shows no sign of brittleness - wide spread myth about this superior steel.

Thanks, Vassili.

...It is also good for chopping out small branches... no any signs of brittleness as well.

Thanks, Vassili.

May I ask how thin the edge is on the Yuna?

I've never really heard of any brittleness with ZDP-189, but then again most knives that utilize it are slicers, not big tough knives.

Usual around 30 degree hair whittling edge.

But today I dig hole in the ground with lot of roots - never see so many roots before. I had to use knife to dig through roots in the dirt, clay and sand - this dull it! However it is regular dullness no chips once again. I had little chips before when it hit rocks in similar situation, but this time there were no rocks.

Exceptional utility knife!
