In one of your replies to a thread you made this comment "I would've liked to have seen the GK outfit stay in business and I personally think there was other reasons than the one they gave for going out of business the way they did. That's one we'll never know the story on though." Is your reference to GK mean Ghurka Khukuri?
I strayed from home & ordered 2 Panawals on their website. Yep it's up & running. They accepted my money but no word in over 3 wks. No reciept of order, no acknowledgement, no answer to e-mails. I've contacted PayPal.
Just trying to right a wrong. Any input will be helpful.

The guy running it seemed to fall off the face of the earth. They had forums on a couple of sites but they have been dropped or changed to a different name. I got one before all of that happened and for the money a H.I. blem is a much better deal to say nothing of a none blem, in my opinion.

There are laws dealing with offering goods or services for money and not providing those. The money went across state lines. I don't know how one counts paypal and the net.

Is their office in the US?

I hope it works out.

Yup, that's the outfit. I'm sorry to hear of your experience Ernesto!!!!:(
The last I heard, read, was that they had said the Nepali Government was outlawing exporting khuks so there wouldn't be anymore and we know that's BS or HI would've been forced to quit as well.:rolleyes:
I'm thinking though that they have screwed many people up to and including Gonzo Beyondo whom they had enlisted to moderate their forum @ Knifeforums.com. Gonzo dropped off the face of the earth as well and hasn't responded to any of my emails.
However for a positive note there were a few people still receiving their khuk after a long time of no communication from GK some time back on their forum IIRC.
I've read both raving reviews and then those like Mark has written here.
They did offer several different grades of quality.

I do hope you get your khuks or a refund and that if you do get your khuks that you're not dissapointed.
 
Hi Guys
I also stayed from the sraight and narrow by ordering from GK, I recieved both knives in quick time, gave one away and have not used the other. Cosmeticaly the fall somewhere between a villager and HI normal output, but cant comment on performance. At the time the price was right, wish I had bought a larger model to give a fair comparison with HI product. I think Cliff Stamp did some tests.

Nope. Been saying fresh batch in before I started lurkin' there. 3 maybe 4 months? I dunno, haven't been counting.
