Finally made it!!!!
We got in Tuesday morning about 11:30 and this is the 1st chance I've had to get online.
The kids always find ways to keep us busy it seems, but since they all had to work today we're on our own.

We had a good trip with only one close call.
We topped a hill and a curve and just on the other side a van pulling a campimg trailer had jack knifed. I saw it in time and was already on the right hand side of the road.
And the cars ahead of us slowing down vey quickly told me there was something wrong.
Thank the Great One no one was injured. The trailer had some extennsive damage, but the van looked okay.
It was windy and they were probably going to fast for the conditions through the canyons.

I am really proud of our little Dodge Stratus!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We averaged 31.6 mpg with one stretch between Sayre Oklahoma and Amarillo and unbelieveable 44 mpg. I was thinking about trading it in in about 3 years for a later model, but I'm gonna have to think long and hard about it now.
And we were running between 72 & 77 mph. with some passing sppeds up to 85.
Not bad for a little 150 horse 4 cyl.
