Some of the things that were said about Yvsa in another thread recently really pissed me off. I know these things are untrue, and given the source, I should just ignore it, but I wanted to say something anyway. For an old NDN who needs a velociraptor to get around, I find that Yvsa has a surprising amount of refalance in my life. He's one upstanding dude, and the Cantina certainly wouldn't be the same without him. You rock, Yvsa. Thanks for being who you are.

Here here!

Love the wording, Josh. Refalance is a real keeper.

Yvsa, as a newbie you encouraged me and were always an example. Thanks. Don't worry about Kendo or Burafan or whowever that troglodyte troll was. Not worth your time, and his attacks on you got him banned. Your counterattacks got you glory.

You da man, Yvsa. Thanks for bein' around.

I know it pissed you off, Josh.

For me, anyway, Yvsa is who he is, and no troll could even spray paint a line on that.

He's a good guy. If I were a troll, I still wouldn't want to fight him. Old, three legged dogs know things.

The troll was very very foolish.

Yvsa is a keeper:) There are certain members of the Cantina family that this whole foundation rests upon. I'm sure i wouldn't have to give you too many guesses to name the gentlemen i'm talking about. Yvsa is one of them. One of the cornerstones that keeps this place heads and shoulders above other forums. His wealth of knowledge and wisedom I can only hope have 1/10th of when i am his age. we are all better for knowing him.

Trolls like Burafan aren't worth your anger. The moderator should just ban them.
They feed on anger and slime.
They remind me of the weapon in Star Trek that can only hurt you if you get angry - it reflects your aggessive thoughts back on you.
Most of us are not saints, and so the anger flows. This is what turns on the sicky troll.
Unfortunately, there are too many Burafans in the world and not enough Yvsas.

The best barstool in the Cantina has the name "Yvsa" on it. And it should.

I respect him as a person, for his wisdom, and his ability to make one laugh while learning.

I have no comment, really, on the troll thing :grumpy: except to say, "What kind of drugs is BF on, to actually challenge Yvsa to a knife fight?" I did laugh out loud at that picture. Let me get this straight. You're picking a fight with the guy who WROTE the sharpening FAQ? Better off sticking you're head under a pile driver- it MIGHT be quicker, but I doubt it.

Power to you, Y.

Osiyo Edustsi...you been stirrin' up trouble again? Dayum....me likey! :D

Who said what about Yvsa? Let me at em. But then again I have noticed that the best quality knives like Sebenza, Busse, and of course HI khukuries, every now and again cop a lot of rubbish. So it's probably a compliment for Yvsa to become a target. ;)

It's already the 01/01/05 here (one of the few times Australians and Americans write the date the same way) so I'm having a drink on you Yvsa. Have a good year.

Yvsa is a great guy. I have never had the honor of meeting him in person, but he is one hell of a nice guy on the forums.

But he doesnt take shlt. :)

Keep on truckin' Yvsa, and best of luck with your correspondences on the ndn boards.

Oh, I don't know, Yuh nSuh ain't so special. :D

Were it not for the Sainted Barb, he'd probably be spittin' baccy and tellin' lies in the exercise yard.
:D

There's this temper issue of his, see......

Holy Toledo. How did I miss that debacle? I had to search for it. Somehow after the first post I ignored the thread.

Yvsa's just about the most refalent fellow I know. :D

Thanks guys, but I'm just an average man, er make that an Old Man.;)
And Kis and Rusty are right about my Barbie. Without her I wouldn't be who I am today.:D

I am always learning from Yvsa. I admired the way he handled the troll, it was the way an experienced warrior and wise man. I'm inspired and a little humbled by the way nothing could get to him. Yvsa is my tribal elder, and I'm also happy that he handled everything gracefully for another reason. If he'd had been hurt or angered by the t u r d in question, this younger Cherokee warrior would be looking for an address and painting on red and black.

I couldn't find "refalance" in the dictionary online m-w.com

Do you mean flatulent? If so, yes... He's probably a flatulent guy.

The man with the corn cobs is a good guy. ;) :)

One of the first folks to greet me here along with Walosi.

Yvsa, that troll attacked you because he knows how important you are to the Cantina. Don't let it go to your head though. ;) :p

Thanks guys, but I'm just an average man, er make that an Old Man.
And Kis and Rusty are right about my Barbie. Without her I wouldn't be who I am today>>>> Yvsa

Yeah, but you had to be the guy to find Barbie first.
