A friend sent this in to me a few days ago for a fitup, what a cutie pie knife
this rascal is and it is amazingly sharp as well, blade is ground down nice and
thin, as you would like for a small blade.

Blade is 1 1/2" long
handle is 2 1/2" long

Vertical sheath, will just, just, fit onto a 1 1/2" wide belt;

amazing fit and finish on this knife;

stubby blade but very sharp!

and yes, it is a bit on the small side!

Don't know much more about the maker, but it sure is slick!
The auto mech, you WILL want to have a good grip as it snaps open with
a solid thunk and locks up just as solid.

Gary,
Chris English is the fellow that makes them; he is about as nice a guy as one could hope to do business with. I've got one of his larger models; a bit of a user, so no nice knife-house for it. You do make a nice looking rig.
all da best,
rats...

Chris English is an EXCELLENT, HONEST maker (and..., VERY reasonably priced). He is Zollen McCarty's grandson, AND..., he makes the SHARPEST damned knives you will ever handle. BE CAREFUL!!! AND, NO..., it's not a joke.

I love the name and I love the knife. "Butterbean" - yumm!

I think the sheath is the cherry on the cake! How about one in brown?

Thanks guys, I remember an auto I had a long time ago that was made by
him, very well made knife it was too.

As to colour, the fellow requested black, but a dark brown would have gone
just as nice, or even burgundy, on it's way home now though,

The workmanship on the sheath is amazing. I love the fitted design and the edging on the top. One thing though, how likely will the knife slip out since the top is completely open.

Hmmm. It's not often that I come across a genuine leather sheath like the one you made. How much would you charge to make a leather sheath for my Kershaw ZT 0200? (via email of course).

Great work! :thumbup:

Thanks, the knife snaps into place secure, so it's very snug to the shape
of the contours, which is why I need the actual knife in order to do the fitup.

Some knives lack contour or have it the wrong way, meaning it doesn't help
retain the knife in the sheath, so those knives would need a flap or strap
such as a Swiss Army Tool.

I'll email you about the ZT, but as I say, I'd need to have that knife in order
to make a sheath that will hold it securely.

These are some pics I found

There's more on the Kershaw subforum.

It's definitely an odd shape when closed for a sheath and I believe it's quite a challenge!

nice shots of it there, looks like the handle has some palm swell out
which will also aid in retention, solid looking knife!

Thanks Dudley, I do need to get a different background ;)
Win Heger already chastised me that I use that doily too much
but it's really our kitchen table cloth and these were quickly taken
to show the person I made the sheath for, I did use some white
paper as a reflector on some shots to add some light, but the main
light is the overhead kitchen light.
I liked how cleanly they came out and I've not seen one of these rascals
before, so I thought I'd share the images.

Thanks T.K.C. if I get some coin up, I may call him and see if he can make
something for me as well :)

Here is another of Chris English's knives, very slick opening and solid lockup
and the edge is even sharp! much like the little one above. Figured I'd bump
this thread and tie the two knives since they are from the same guy;

working on a sheath for it this week, very nice knife! the blade is mirror polished so I had
some paper to help keep reflections down as best I could ;)
