About two weeks ago, I went to light my chiminea and my Z-Plus wouldn't light. :grumpy: It sparked fine and looked like it tried to light, but nothing. If I let it sit, it would light for about 2 seconds, then fade out. I tried refilling it, but that didn't help. I was bummed, thinking I'd wasted $30. I'd only used the recommend fuel which I got from the store when I got the lighter, so I was thinking that it shouldn't be clogged. Yesterday, I grabbed the bag from the store with the receipt and the fuel and went back to the store to see if they could help me out. I handed it to the guy and started to describe the problem... He was already reaching for the tool kit. He popped the Z-Pus out, and held an eyeglasses screwdriver to the fill-hole. I heard a hissing and asked it it was empty or if I had infact filled it. He said that the 'contents' were bad and that it was filled with pressurized air.
He refilled it for me, the snapped it together, and it lit right up!
Whoo Hoo! He said that you should always drain it before refueling and that the fuel fills more with pressure then gravity.
Handy little tip I wanted to share, in case anyone else has their Z-Plus start acting up on them.
