It's been a long time since I've held a Sebenza (old Regular). Question:
Does the Zaan feel huge and heavy compaired to the Large 21?
I'm really leaning to the Zaan, but not at the cost of a knife that is too thick at the handle and heavy feeling in the pocket. I know the 21 will be much the same as the old Regular, which I handled pretty well.

On the fence!

I would take the Umnumzaan over the 21 every time. I carry a large Regular Sebenza or an Umnumzaan and there is little between the two as far as weight. I will say that the Umnumzaan to me is a more nimble knife being slimmer in profile and only just a little thicker than the Sebenza.

I'll agree that the zaan feels light for its size. Compared to a large 21 the zaan handle width is more narrow in profile (Haze mentioned this)....Because of this, it feels better that the 21 in hand...to me.

I recommend the zaan hands down; my favorite production folder.

I like the Sebenza much better myself, but we're all differenet. I would suggest trying to find a place that has both to handle.
I thought I would like the Zaan untill I held one. Didn't like the cross cuts in the handle.

Thank you, I really needed your insite. I didn't realize the Zann was slimer than the 21.
Thanks!

Definitely a toss-up for me. I think I like them both equally. They are almost identical in size, though (blade length and overall length).

Get the Zaan and never look back. Took me a day or two to warm up to it, and it has kicked every other knife out of my pocket.

Zaan:thumbup:

Get a large Regular if you can find one available, but Zaans tend to pop up more often and you can still get them from CRK. I only dig the 21 in a small for some reason:confused:
