Zaan lightening pockets?

Was wondering if anyone had ever added milled inner pockets to their Zaan? Was wondering about it and if I could find someone to do it

Zaan isn't really the pocket knife to be considering if weight savings is that much of a factor.

Hinderer s replacement Ti show side scales are milled so I don’t see why not. However if it were me I would find someone to fabricate a thin Ti liner and carbon fiber cover scale. You get what you want if your proof on concept works and you keep a zaan if it doesn’t. I have seen aftermarket carbon fiber zaan scales so I would bet if you are willing to toss money at it you can get this done.
Actually I would say even if it costs less than 500 bucks you are ahead money as you didn’t destroy a $500 knife.

I’ve wanted a ‘Zaan light (internal milling) for a long time also. I wish CRK would start doing it. It’d be an instant buy for me. It seems they’re selling all they can make as is, so I doubt my wish will come true.
